Job Summary
Tech-Advisor combines service-writing and technical technician duties to deliver a high-quality customer experience. Responsibilities include counter service, vehicle inspection interpretation, writing work orders, performing technician duties as needed, completing LMS and vendor training, obtaining and maintaining ASE certifications (C1, P2, G1, A4, A5) and a State Inspection license where applicable, and maintaining safety, facility, and equipment standards. The role emphasizes effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to VIP processes to educate customers about vehicle conditions, recommend solutions, and achieve productive hours while upholding VIP safety and ethics. Requires ability to monitor customer appointments, participate in daily huddles, and support the service team across both service writer and installation technician duties.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
