Job Summary
Tech-Advisor combines service-writing and installation-technician duties to deliver VIP customer experiences. Responsibilities include assisting customers at the counter, explaining vehicle conditions per MPI inspection, performing required services in the shop, achieving billed hours, and upholding VIP processes and safety standards. The role requires completing LMS and vendor trainings, obtaining relevant ASE certifications (C1, and others as listed), and maintaining effective communication with team members. The position emphasizes safety, facility/equipment maintenance, and ongoing training to ensure a different and better customer experience. The standard work week is 5 days, 40 hours, with hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
Desired Qualifications
