Job Summary
Tech-Advisor role combines service-writer and installation-technician duties to deliver an exceptional customer experience in a VIP automotive service environment. Responsibilities include working at the counter to educate customers on vehicle conditions using MPI inspection results, taking and processing service orders, performing technician duties when needed, completing LMS and vendor training, obtaining and maintaining ASE certifications (C1, P2, G1, A4, A5), communicating effectively with the team, following VIP processes and safety standards, and contributing to higher customer engagement and billed hours while supporting the Service Manager and shop operations.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
