Job Summary
Tech-Advisor role combines service-writer and installation-technician duties to educate customers and deliver VIP programs and standards. Responsibilities include assisting customers at the counter, explaining vehicle conditions based on mileage and MPI inspections, taking work orders, performing required services, completing LMS and vendor training, achieving strong customer engagement and productivity, and maintaining facility and equipment, while adhering to service codes of ethics and applicable regulations. The position demands certifications and licenses including ASE service consultant, potentially P2/P3/G1/A4/A5, and state inspection where applicable, with an emphasis on communication, teamwork, safety, training, and VIP process execution.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended or equivalent
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
