Job Summary
Tech-Advisor role in Gorham, ME blending service-writer and installation-technician duties to educate customers on vehicle conditions, take and manage service work orders, and ensure VIP standards are met. Responsibilities include promoting workplace safety, serving customers at the counter, performing technician work as needed, participating in LMS and vendor trainings, achieving high customer engagement and billed hours, and maintaining communication with management. Required certifications include ASE C1, P2, G1, A4, A5, and state inspection where applicable, plus a valid driver’s license; the position emphasizes strong communication, organization, and automotive servicing knowledge in a 5-day, 40-hour work week in an in-person shop setting.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
