Job Summary
Tech-Advisor role in Framingham, MA blends service writer and installation technician duties to deliver VIP customer experiences. Responsibilities include consulting with customers at the counter, explaining vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, executing required services in-shop, maintaining safety standards, and achieving VIP productivity targets. The position requires collaboration with team members, participation in LMS and vendor trainings, and attaining certifications such as BATS, TPMS, and multiple ASE certifications (C1, P2, G1, A4, A5). The role emphasizes effective communication, adherence to service codes and ethics, facility and equipment maintenance, and participation in regular meetings to support high-quality customer service. Educational/experience preference includes a two-year college or technical program and one year in automotive service; a valid state driver’s license and relevant ASE certifications are required.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
