Job Summary
Tech-Advisor at VIP location in Farmingdale, ME, delivering an exceptional customer experience and achieving VIP program standards. Responsibilities include serving customers at the counter as a service writer, performing shop technician duties when needed, carrying out training and certification for both roles (Service Writer and Installation Technician), driving higher customer engagement and productivity, and executing VIP processes. Requires fostering effective communication within the team, following safety policies, completing LMS and vendor training, attaining T.I.A. BATS and TPMS certifications, ASE certifications, and maintaining compliance with service codes and regulations. Standard schedule is 5 days and 40 hours per week; environment includes indoor service department with potential exposure to varying conditions. Aptitude for teamwork, strong verbal/written communication, organizational skills, automotive servicing knowledge, and ability to manage customer expectations and solutions are essential.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
