Job Summary
Tech-Advisor role combines responsibilities of a service writer and installation technician to deliver VIP customer experiences at a fixed location in Claremont, NH. The position emphasizes safety, customer consultation about vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, taking and processing service orders, delivering required training and certifications (including BATS TPMS and multiple ASE certifications), and supporting the team to achieve higher customer engagement and productivity. Key duties include counter service, shop technician work when needed, adherence to VIP processes and standards, ongoing LMS and vendor training, and active participation in team huddles and meetings. The role requires a valid driver’s license, automotive servicing knowledge, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work a 40-hour, five-day schedule in an indoor service department with variable conditions.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing and the industry
