Job Summary
Tech-Advisor role combining counter-service writer duties with shop technician responsibilities to deliver VIP customer experiences. Responsibilities include safety leadership, consulting with customers about vehicle condition based on MPI inspections, taking work orders, performing services per VIP standards, completing LMS training, and earning various ASE certifications (C1, P2, G1, A4, A5) while maintaining compliance with service codes, vendor trainings, and internal processes. The position emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to educate customers on vehicle conditions and recommended solutions; expects 5-day work week with 40 hours and a focus on safety, facility/equipment maintenance, and procedural compliance.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
