Job Summary
Tech-Advisor combines service-writer and installation-technician duties to deliver VIP customer experiences. Responsibilities include consulting with customers at the counter, educating them on vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, taking work orders, performing required services per VIP standards, achieving higher than average customer engagement and billed hours, and completing LMS and vendor trainings. The role requires safety compliance, certification in VIP processes, tire service basics (BATS) and TPMS, ASE certifications, effective communication within the team, and participation in regular meetings. The position operates in a Belfast, ME service facility with a standard 40-hour work week; it is non-exempt and hourly.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
