Job Summary
Tech-Advisor blends service-writing with hands-on automotive technician duties to deliver VIP customer experiences. Responsibilities include safety leadership, consulting customers at the counter about vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, performing vehicle service in the shop, and executing tasks per VIP standards. Requires completing LMS training, vendor training, and certifications such as BATS TPMS, and ASE certifications; frequent communication with team; ability to take and pass required trainings; adherence to service codes and safety regulations; potential to attend off-site trainings several times per year. The role emphasizes customer education, productivity, and collaboration within a service department, with duties spanning counter duties, shop work, and maintaining facility and equipment according to policy.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
