Job Summary
On-site and remote field service for ABB Electrification, performing installation, commissioning/adjustment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of power distribution equipment (MV/LV switchgear, protection relays, RMUs, transformers, UPS systems, voltage sag compensation). Collaborate with customers to identify opportunities to improve operations and resolve technical challenges; prepare material lists and ensure availability and quality of parts and equipment. Requires a valid Japanese driver’s license, willingness to travel frequently, business-level Japanese, basic Excel, and training will be provided. The role involves work at customer sites, with a mix of on-site and remote service across assigned product lines.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Japanese driver’s license
- Willingness to travel frequently (short-term and long-term assignments)
- Business-level Japanese proficiency
- Basic Microsoft Excel
- Training provided before assignment
