Job Summary
Disassemble failed transmissions to determine root causes of failure, rework defects, and document findings for quality improvement. Identify assembly errors, suggest process enhancements, and operate air impact guns and hand tools to remove or install fasteners. Inspect parts and subassemblies for defects or omissions, scrap defective items, and perform operator maintenance on assigned equipment. Adhere to QS 9000 and ISO 14001 system policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to comprehend technical information
- Must be able to read and write legibly
- Must be willing to pursue technical schooling in a timely manner to fulfill requirements for this job
- Must be able to learn the operation of the test stand
- Must be able to grip a minimum of 80 pounds
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception
