Job Summary
Maintain and develop skill levels in all aspects of repair, service, and maintenance of vehicles while ensuring careful handling of all vehicles on the premises. Attend internal and external training courses as directed by management, make full use of special tools and service equipment to improve efficiency, and keep the workshop tidy. Advise the Workshop Foreman or Service Adviser of any additional work necessary on vans or commercial vehicles during a service. Maintain thorough and current product knowledge by reading all service information and bulletins. Be prepared to work overtime with reasonable notice if requested. This part-time role is based at Kearys of Cork and Kearys PRO+ van centre, offering 31 days of paid leave and a comprehensive benefits package including a pension and healthcare scheme.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Qualified Vehicle Motor Technician (Registered with SOLAS/FAS or relevant qualification)
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Full, clean driving licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
