Job Summary
Skilled-level automotive technician diagnoses and repairs vehicles to dealership and factory standards; performs diagnosis, communicates with parts department and service advisor, saves and tags parts, conducts road tests, participates in manufacturer-sponsored training, and supervises apprentice technicians while maintaining safety, documentation, and customer service in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience at an automotive dealership
- Strong understanding of the service drive
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer competencies
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Pass drug testing, MVR/Insurability, background investigation/interview
