Job Summary
HVAC Technician 2 (Shop) based in Pearland, TX will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment in the Central Repair Shop, troubleshoot equipment failures, and may work alone or with another technician to set up and operate equipment at the shop. The role may involve overtime and occasional travel. Required: High School diploma/GED, 4-7 years of HVAC experience, ability to read schematics and determine nominal and effective tonnage or kW, valid driver’s license, and ability to lift under 50 lbs; TWIC or DOT medical card may be required. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- 4-7 years of experience working on commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
- Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
- May be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
- Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.
