Job Summary
Supervise manufacturing processes, solve daily production line problems to ensure yield and cost targets, and assist engineers in cost reduction projects and sample preparation. Monitor operations against ISO requirements, use SPC tools to analyze defects, and verify equipment parameters after maintenance or upgrades. Train operators on updated procedures, document daily process reports, and communicate production issues between shifts. Lead troubleshooting efforts for process operations and diagnostic challenges within the optical glass manufacturing environment while adhering to site EHS standards.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational Intermediate Level or College Degree in Mechanical /Industrial/ Mechatronics
- 6+ years of related experience in manufacturing setting in relation to trouble shooting of process operation and diagnostic of production problems
- broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through work experience
- Understanding of technical drawing and basic chemical engineering principals to manufacture parts in high volume setting
- Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and solve production problems effectively and timely manner in production setting
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Need to be responsible
- Be open to new knowledge
- Have a sense of teamwork
- Good computer skills, experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Email, internet access, SPC software, do simple processing, give preliminary conclusions
- Good health suitable for working in an optical glass manufacturing environment

- Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in optical industry is advantage
