Job Summary
Develop, review and maintain technical documentation across Defence projects within Australia’s naval nuclear capability. Translate complex engineering and project information into clear, accurate, and usable documentation that supports safety, governance, decision-making and operations. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, technical specialists and Defence stakeholders to ensure documentation reflects technical requirements and project outcomes. Produce structured documentation that supports safety, assurance, and governance, while ensuring consistency, quality, and traceability. Ideal candidates will have strong writing and editing skills, experience in regulated or high-assurance environments, and the ability to tailor information for diverse audiences; AGSVA security clearance eligibility is required. The role supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience producing technical documentation in a highly regulated or technical environment
- Strong writing, editing and communication skills with ability to tailor information for different audiences
- Experience working with engineers, technical specialists, project teams or subject matter experts
- Ability to understand complex information, identify key messages and communicate them clearly
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple documentation activities
- Experience developing documentation such as engineering reports, procedures, assurance cases, management plans or technical specifications
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain AGSVA security clearance
