Job Summary
Technical Writer needed to create clear, accurate, user-focused documentation for customer-facing and internal audiences at Upshop. Collaborate with product managers, subject matter experts, and engineering to produce content that improves product adoption, usability, and customer success. Manage multiple documentation projects, maintain existing docs, and translate complex technical concepts into accessible content. Preferred experience documenting SaaS platforms, APIs, and familiarity with grocery/retail/warehousing tech. Tools include Zendesk/Helpjuice, Confluence, Jira, Snagit; AI-assisted content development is encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in technical writing or a related documentation role.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on clarity, usability, and consistency.
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage projects independently and prioritize work across multiple initiatives.
- Comfortable learning new technologies, systems, concepts, and workflows quickly in a fast-paced environment.
