Job Summary
Technical Writer in Training responsible for developing clear, user-focused documentation for restaurant operations, new products, and equipment launches across a global QSR environment. Collaborates with R&D, operations, and cross-functional teams to translate complex procedures into accessible materials across formats (guides, manuals, job helpers, video scripts, and online resources). Applies documentation standards, utilizes AI-assisted drafting where appropriate while validating content quality, participates in on-site photo/video shoots to validate sequencing and execution, maintains version-controlled documentation in established repositories, and supports continuous improvement initiatives; travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, technical communication, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a technical writing role
- Strong writing, editing, and comprehension skills
- Ability to translate complex or incomplete information into clear, usable documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications and web-based platforms
- Strong organizational, research, and project-management skills
- Ability to travel as required and adhere to corporate travel policies
