Job Summary
Update and validate the 53 SOPS Wideband Controller's Guide, manage configuration management tracking, and develop training scenarios. Produce requested documentation associated with hardware and software configurations while maintaining a database of system configurations. This role supports the US Space Force, Space Operations Command, and Space Delta 8 in managing DoD satellite communications capabilities. Work follows normal duty hours Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays. Travel may be required for instruction on new systems.
Required Qualifications
- US Active Top Secret (or TS/SCI) level clearance (eligible for immediate adjudication by the cognizant security authority)
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Technical Writer/Editor
- 5 years experience with SATCOM technical writing or SATCOM operations
- Work schedule will follow normal duty hours (typically Monday-Friday, 0730-1600, excluding weekends and government-recognized holidays)
- Travel may be required to receive instruction on new systems
