Job Summary
Develop and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation for complex industrial equipment, including installation, operation, maintenance, and service manuals. Lead the continuous improvement of the company's documentation library by modernizing legacy content and creating new manuals for new products using MadCap Flare or equivalent structured authoring software. Collaborate directly with mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineers to produce precise documentation while independently managing projects, standards, and priorities. Maintain templates, style guides, and revision control systems to ensure consistency across the diverse portfolio of highly engineered industrial equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical writing experience within industrial equipment, machinery, manufacturing, instrumentation, aerospace, or similar technical environments
- Experience creating operation, installation, maintenance, or service manuals for complex products
- Proficiency with MadCap Flare or equivalent structured authoring software
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, user-friendly documentation
- Self-starter with strong organization, time management, and collaboration skills who thrives in an independent, cross-functional role
