Job Summary
Edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, and special reports to convert technical verbiage into clear end-user documentation. Assemble master copies, proofread graphics, and maintain document tracking while ensuring CUI marking compliance per DoD Instruction 5200.48. Plan, stand up, and manage the program's knowledge management system from scratch, developing training to support database modernization and UI/UX deployment. Produce artifacts demonstrating appropriate controls for RMF/ATO efforts and prepare materials for stakeholder reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years
- BS/BA in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent additional relevant experience
- Secret
- IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) at time of proposal submission
- Demonstrated experience with both technical writing and setting up and managing knowledge management systems
- Demonstrated ability to take technical terms and verbiage and convert them into user manuals and other documentation
- KM experience must include setting up a KM system from scratch — planning and executing the KM system and providing continued management of it
- Experience with government deliverables
- Must have experience with the following programs: MS Suite; Word; Excel; Access; MS Project; Power Point; Adobe Creative Suite; Visio
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or under only general direction
- Experience working highly complex IT systems
- Resume must demonstrate experience working legacy system upgrades, modernization, legacy system transition, data migration and/or system analysis and design
- demonstrated experience performing functional and technical solutions decomposition that enables solutions analysis and design
- demonstrated experience implementing solutions with respect to modern database design and modern software languages within the federal Government, specifically within the DoD
- Travel to on-site meetings in Columbus, OH (Onsite once per month (average) up to 3 days.)
