Job Summary
Develop technical manuals, procedures, training materials, and user documentation while creating and maintaining technical illustrations, diagrams, schematics, and exploded views. Produce and update publication content based on engineering changes, stakeholder reviews, and customer feedback, then review all outputs to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable standards. Support the development and maintenance of structured technical publication datasets and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve information gaps. Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes and publication standards within a team supporting advanced aerospace and technology systems for Defence and national security programs.
Required Qualifications
- NV1 Security Clearance or higher
- Australian Citizenship
- Ability to meet any additional security, client and onboarding requirements as required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience producing technical documentation and illustrations within aerospace, Defence, engineering or similarly complex environments
- Experience developing technical publications for complex systems
- Strong technical illustration skills using tools such as Adobe Illustrator, IsoDraw, Creo Illustrate or similar platforms
- Experience working within structured authoring and publishing environments
- Knowledge of S1000D technical publication standards and Integrated Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM)
- Experience working with XML or SGML-based documentation
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical information and translate it into user-friendly content
