Job Summary
Create comprehensive user manuals, maintenance guides, and operation procedures for hydraulic equipment by translating blueprints and engineering specifications into clear, step-by-step instructions. Open, navigate, and pull technical illustrations directly from SolidWorks files to generate accurate diagrams for field use. Work daily on the production floor and in the engineering office to verify data and collaborate side-by-side with engineering and manufacturing teams. Maintain a consistent documentation style and manage the technical library while interpreting CAD models and hydraulic schematics. This onsite role offers direct interaction with massive, real-world engineering projects on our production floor.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years as a Technical Writer in heavy machinery, manufacturing, or structural engineering
- Hands-on experience navigating SolidWorks to generate technical images and diagrams
- Ability to interpret CAD models, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic schematics
- Comfortable working in an active manufacturing and production plant environment
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
