Job Summary
Create repair, assembly, and disassembly procedures from engineering drawings and approved source data in logical English sequences. Update and correct maintenance manuals (AMM, CMM, SRM) and service bulletins while ensuring all publications protect intellectual property and commercial interests. Research, plan, and revise technical component maintenance manuals and aircraft maintenance tasks in electronic formats using data from multiple sources. Guarantee the quality and integrity of all Technical Publications department deliverables. Collaborate with the Technical Publications team to develop high-quality content adhering to ATA2200/S1000D specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational diploma or trade certificate, particularly in aerospace or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Technical Writer
- Technical background in the aerospace industry
- Good computer skills
- Ability to read and understand engineering documentation per ASME Y14.100, including Engineering drawings and associated documentation
- Good understanding of ATA 2000, 2200 specifications
- Good understanding of S1000D specification
- Good knowledge of SGML and XML authoring languages
- Proficiency in CATIA and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
- Proficiency in FrameMaker, Arbortext, and Altova
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
