Job Summary
Develop clear how-to guides, user manuals, and troubleshooting documentation for IP cameras, NVRs, and video management systems. Translate complex technical concepts into simple instructions for users of all experience levels. Collaborate with subject matter experts, product management, and technical support to gather information and ensure content accuracy. Edit and proofread all materials to maintain consistency and adhere to company standards. Incorporate diagrams and visuals to enhance understanding of installation steps and system configurations. Regularly gather feedback from users and support teams to update documentation and improve usability. Stay abreast of emerging technologies to ensure content remains relevant.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Writer
- Proven ability to create clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documentation with meticulous attention to detail and user focus
- 3 writing samples
- Excellent written (grammar, spelling, punctuation) and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize documentation needs effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools
- Experience in Zendesk, Service Now, or other Ticketing/Knowledge Systems
- Minimum 2 years of experience within the security industry for IP cameras, NVRs and VMS software
- Must be able to lift 25lbs occasionally
- Occasional Travel to Hanwha Office locations for training
- Occasional Travel to trade shows
- Occasional Travel to customer sites
- Ability for remote employees to create a lab environment in the workspace
- Ability to perform physical installation of products occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience within the security industry for IP cameras, NVRs and VMS software (Preferred)
