Job Summary
Technical Writer to produce and maintain technical documentation including System Technical Manuals, Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Software Delivery Documents (SWDs), User Logistics Support Summaries (ULSSs), and other assigned technical documentation. Develop, revise, and maintain clear and accurate technical documentation; create detailed user manuals for fleet systems and equipment; produce QRGs and SOPs supporting both fleet and depot-level operations; document software-related procedures; collaborate with engineers, software developers, logisticians, supply support personnel, and technical leadership to translate complex systems into clear, user-focused documentation; review materials for accuracy and clarity, incorporating feedback to improve quality; edit and proofread to maintain consistency and technical accuracy; manage Technical Manual records within the MBPS system; implement structured documentation standards and processes to keep materials current and well-organized; provide documentation support to customers and internal teams related to system deployment, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in any business, managerial, or technical discipline
- 3+ years of experience as a technical writer in an engineering or technical field
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, concepts, and terminology
- Experience writing for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail
