Job Summary

Own and drive documentation for key product areas, acting as an embedded technical writer within engineering teams. Work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure content is accurate, timely, and aligned with the product roadmap. Lead documentation efforts from concept through release, including planning, writing, reviewing, and maintaining content that empowers developers. Advocate for documentation as a critical part of the user experience, influencing design and implementation where appropriate. Continuously improve structure and clarity based on analytics and user feedback while collaborating with the broader team to evolve documentation tooling and standards. Help maintain and improve the documentation site's technical infrastructure, including build tooling, deployment pipelines, and Docusaurus platform configuration.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical writing experience
  • Strong portfolio of developer-focused content such as user guides, installation guides, API references, tutorials, and technical blog posts
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and related technologies
  • Proven ability to deeply understand, use, and test complex technical products
  • Experience with writing about on-premise software installation or other technical environments
  • Experience with SaaS and software documentation
  • Proven ability to tailor content for diverse audiences and technical backgrounds, including software engineers, application developers, business analysts, and process owners
  • Experience with docs-as-code workflows and documentation frameworks such as Docusaurus
  • Ability and/or willingness to use our product

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining, configuring, and extending documentation site infrastructure and deployment pipelines, preferably using Docusaurus
  • Software engineering experience
  • Proficiency with one or more programming languages
  • Comfortable iterating on an existing technical writing style guide and advocating for its cross-functional use
