Job Summary
Technical Writer for a DoD contract supporting Satellite Control Network (SCN) Technical Orders. Responsibilities include drafting, incorporating, editing, reviewing, and publishing approved TO changes to the baseline to support operations and maintenance personnel. Collaborate with DSLM project managers, configuration/data managers, engineers, logisticians, drafters, and Government customers to develop and maintain technical documentation and contractual deliverables under MIL-STD guidelines. Entry-level professional role with limited-to-moderate scope, mentored guidance, and opportunities to grow technical and soft skills. Qualifications: 0-3 years of technical/procedural writing experience, willingness to learn, ability to problem-solve, strong communication, proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Pro, and ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. Additionally desirable: familiarity with Air Force Technical Orders, SCN, engineering drawings, TM-86-01, TO-00-5-1. Travel up to 10% (Continental US). Hourly pay rate listed: $27.57 plus $4.93 per hour health/wellness benefit. Location: Colorado Springs, CO, USA.
