Job Summary
Develop and maintain product technical manuals and media from initial plan to publication, including user and programming manuals, service manuals, technical datasheets, application notes, and catalogs. Write product descriptions, procedures, and maintenance tasks, and create technical and marketing illustrations. Research and translate technical information for non-technical and technical users while conducting interviews to gather documentation data. Recommend content and formats responsive to requirements and produce information products conforming to company documentation and quality assurance standards using Adobe FrameMaker, Illustrator, and Photoshop. This role reports to the Marketing Communications manager in Morgan Hill, CA, with a base salary range of $85,000 - $130,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Communications, or related field
- 1 year experience as a technical writer or content producer
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to create manuals and related collateral with illustrations using professional DTP programs
- Advanced computer skills
