Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain engaging training materials in multiple formats including eLearning, facilitator guides, PowerPoints, videos, and job aids. Translate complex election laws and regulations into clear, accessible learning experiences for state, county, and city election officials. Collaborate with subject matter experts and local offices to ensure content accuracy and scalability. Balance speed with quality by producing polished resources by defined deadlines while managing multiple projects. Support both in-person and virtual training delivery using Microsoft Teams and continuously evaluate effectiveness based on feedback. Work closely with the Voter Registration & Election Management Solution Training Team to shape statewide learning initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Strong instructional design skills
- Minimum of 3–5 years of instructional design or related experience
- Proven ability to design and deliver high-quality content quickly
- Proficiency in instructional design software and learning management systems
- Experience with knowledge base systems and collaboration tools
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to write clearly and concisely
- Strong visual design sense
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices in instructional design
- Comfortable working with both digital and print training deliverables
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexibility and creativity in problem-solving
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working in elections, government, public administration, or other compliance-driven environments
- Instructional design certifications (e.g., ATD, CPLP, Kirkpatrick, etc.)
- Associate or bachelor's degree in instructional design, training, education, communications, or a related field
- Experience with video editing, graphic design, or multimedia production to enhance learning content
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and designing for ADA compliance
- Knowledge of project management tools or methodologies (Agile, Kanban, Jira, MS Project)
- Experience using data or learner feedback to evaluate and improve training effectiveness
