Job Summary
As Technical Writer 2 in Daniel Defense's Training Department, you will develop, standardize, and maintain work instructions, SOPs, policies, job aids, and training content to drive consistent execution across manufacturing operations, employee qualification, knowledge transfer, and audit readiness. Collaborate with subject matter experts across Training, Quality, Operations, Engineering, HR, and Safety to translate technical and process information into clear, user-focused documentation. Structure and document policies and procedures so responsibilities, requirements, approval steps, records, and expectations are clearly defined. Support training readiness for new or revised processes, equipment, policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure documentation aligns with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and the Quality Management System, manage revision control and audit readiness, and maintain organized records and content libraries. Demonstrate commitment to environmental health and safety principles and contribute to company standards on safety, quality, and integrity. The role requires an associate degree (preferred) or equivalent experience, minimum 2 years in technical writing or related fields, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with LMS platforms, SharePoint, and document control systems is preferred. The position is based in Black Creek, GA, USA and involves on-site work in a manufacturing environment with typical office and production duties.
