Job Summary
Develop and maintain technical and onboarding documentation for API-driven systems and data platforms, including API guides, architecture diagrams, data-flow descriptions, user guides, SOPs, runbooks, and operational manuals. Ensure documentation meets CMS, HIPAA, FISMA, NIST, and Section 508 standards; support onboarding and training for internal teams, state partners, and external users; translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language; collaborate with developers, architects, QA, and business teams in Agile environments; manage documentation governance and version control using Confluence/SharePoint and Markdown; familiarity with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI) and accessibility standards is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing or onboarding roles
- Experience documenting IT systems, APIs, or enterprise platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Residency requirement: candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and have lived in the United States for at least three of the last five years
