Job Summary

Facilitate technical training sessions, classroom or virtual, to support skills development, safety, and operational proficiency. Partner with experienced trainers to maintain consistent delivery of instruction across shifts, teams, and locations. Develop and update technical training materials, job aids, and work instructions while maintaining documentation and tracking completion records. Administer assessments, skills checks, and practical evaluations to ensure technical competence. Contribute to standardized training processes, conduct audits, and recommend corrective actions to promote accuracy and adherence to standards. Mentor OJTIs, provide feedback, and strengthen instructional effectiveness by monitoring performance and ensuring consistency in student evaluations. Identify training gaps through feedback, observation, and data review to improve safety, quality, and manufacturability. Work with training managers to align tasks with organizational priorities, ensuring compliance with government and engineering standards. Shift work will be required to address employees on all shifts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business field
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and technical training methodologies
  • Ability to evaluate technical performance objectively and provide supportive coaching
  • Ability to follow structured training processes and support standardization efforts
  • Good communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships
  • Good problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to learn new technical concepts
  • Ability to work under moderate supervision
  • Responsibility for guiding, mentoring and coaching Instructors (OJTIs)
  • Ensures OJTIs deliver consistent, effective and standardized training
  • Fosters professional development among OJTIs
  • Maintaining high training standards across the organization
  • Position is applicable to HRR Richland facility
  • Special consideration will be given to experience in a manufacturing or production-oriented field

  • Maintain documentation and metrics related to training improvements and trends

  • Offers are contingent on background check and drug screen (where applicable)
  • Applicants must meet eligibility requirements (see DOE 810 Appendix A)
