Job Summary
Plan, organize, and coordinate fire training programs ensuring resources align with NFPA, ICAO, IFTSA, and RSAF standards. Train RSAF personnel and trainees, including grades 20 and 30, on practical firefighting and structural aspects while performing theoretical classroom instruction. Conduct technical evaluations of trainees and demonstrate competency using fire vehicles, simulators, and Microsoft Office packages. Work in hazardous conditions requiring physical and medical fitness; operate specialized fire vehicles with a valid license. This ITAR-approved program supports aircraft and structural rescue firefighting skillsets across various locations in the Kingdom.
Required Qualifications
- Aircraft and Structural Rescue Firefighting skillset
- Highly skilled Fire Protection Specialist/ Instructor
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a fire service
- Minimum 3 years' experience as instructor/trainer
- Have served as fire supervisor and trainer on a military/civil airfield
- Perform all aspects of ARFF and structural theory and practical fire fighter training
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively in English, either verbally, written or using electronic media
- Familiar with NFPA, ICAO, IFSTA procedures and regulations
- Familiar with ARFF and Structural Fire vehicle pumps and operations
- Have a license to drive and operate specialized fire vehicles
- Physically and medically fit to train students on all practical aspects in firefighting and structural
- Work tasks may be performed in hazardous and extreme adverse conditions
- Able to demonstrate the proper operation of fire vehicles, equipment, training simulators, computers and classroom aids
- Demonstrates the ability and competency of using the computer and Microsoft Office packages
Desired Qualifications
- A medical qualification in level 3 first aid or higher will be advantageous
