Job Summary
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical training plans for Department of Defense mission systems, serving as the program's subject matter expert. Design instructor-led sessions, hands-on labs, and computer-based materials to enable engineers and Government customers to operate complex software and hardware solutions. Coordinate with systems engineers and developers to ensure content reflects current capabilities and engineering changes, while delivering instruction to operators, administrators, and field service representatives. Evaluate training effectiveness based on feedback and operational lessons learned, then recommend curriculum improvements. Provide onsite operator training during customer site deployments and support proposal efforts with technical input. Maintain documentation, lesson plans, and attendance records while presenting to stakeholders. Requires active DoD Secret clearance with Top Secret/SCI eligibility, a Bachelor's degree, and 5+ years in technical training development. Approximately 20–30% travel to domestic and international sites is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Education, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and delivering technical training for enterprise software or information systems
- Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Demonstrated experience creating technical training plans, curricula, instructional materials, and student documentation
- Experience training technical personnel on enterprise software applications and system administration
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to develop professional training documentation
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional engineering teams
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 20–30%) in support of customer training events and program activities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or Federal Government programs
- Familiarity with enterprise networking, Linux, virtualization, cloud technologies, or cybersecurity concepts
- Experience developing training using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
- Experience supporting software implementation, technology refresh, or operational transition activities
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning development tools
- Prior experience training Government customers, military personnel, or operational users
- Knowledge of Full Motion Video (FMV), ISR systems, Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), or enterprise mission systems
