Job Summary

Technical Training Coordinator for Gas, responsible for developing and coordinating technical, safety, and environmental training; interpreting and advising on codes and regulations; maintaining training records and documentation; ensuring safety and regulatory compliance; collaborating with Safety and Operations Management to develop and implement training across gas/propane distribution, safety, and related systems; requires extensive travel (50-75%), on-site Mt. Vernon, WA, with a focus on adult learning, technical training programs, and adherence to NFPA/National Fuel Gas Code, NEC, OSHA, and state building codes.

Required Qualifications

  • Five years of experience in natural gas or propane distribution/transmission
  • Two-year degree in vocational or technical training or equivalent related work experience
  • Working knowledge of industrial safety practices and procedures, OSHA, Workers Compensation, and other state and federal safety standards
  • Must be legally authorized to work in United States, no sponsorships considered
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing policy and background check
  • Must successfully complete physical capabilities assessment
  • Required to maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Requires extensive travel 50% - 75%
  • Certified technical trainer (preferred)
  • Two-year degree in related field and/or gas experience (preferred)
  • Journeyman status with completion of apprenticeship (preferred)
  • Training in First Aid and CPR (preferred)
