Job Summary
Technical Trainer for Verkada’s full product suite, delivering in-person training to a range of customers from installation technicians to C-level executives. Create and present training on topics such as network security, bandwidth requirements, product deployment choices, and real-world install scenarios. Stay current on security and IoT trends, evangelize Verkada products to partners, customers, and internal teams, and measure training effectiveness. The role involves leading training sessions and workshops, collaborating to refine the VCE curriculum, and managing data on course completions and attendance. Requires 2+ years in a technical training or customer-facing technical role, a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields, strong networking knowledge, and the ability to travel frequently (approximately 50-60%). Onsite work is required in the Eastern US with a focus on NJ/NY remote locations in the current posting, and sponsorship for work visas is not available.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Technical Trainer, Solutions Engineer or similar customer/partner-facing technical role
- Bachelor's degree in Networking, IT Security, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Information & Computer Technology
- Strong background in Computer Networking with HTTPS/SSL, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT devices, DHCP servers, Firewalls and related software systems
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Willingness to travel 50-60% for training sessions
- Industry certifications are a plus: AWS, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCDA, MCSE, CISSP, Security+, Network+, Microsoft Azure, CSP
