Technical Trainer

Conduct expert-level troubleshooting of heavy-duty vehicle systems, including internal combustion engines and hybrid/electric powertrains, while reading complex schematics and diagnosing communication protocols. Mentor technicians through the ASE certification pipeline to achieve Master Technician status and systematically identify performance gaps to develop targeted curricula. Execute meticulous weekly QA inspections to ensure post-repair work meets safety standards and maintain impeccable training records and compliance documentation. Manage logistics for large-scale technical events to benchmark departmental excellence. Requires ASE Transit Bus certifications, Class A CDL with Passenger, and ability to travel between Albany, Schenectady, Troy, and Glens Falls. Compensation is $45.62/hour in a union environment with medical, dental, vision, pension, and paid time off.
