Job Summary
Plan, organize, and lead classes for ages 10-18 in set, lighting, sound, costumes, makeup, and stage crew. Guide students in production skills, support Mainstage shows, and provide safe, organized classroom and theater supervision. Manage all equipment, maintain a clean and risk-free environment, and organize program records including attendance rosters. Communicate effectively with participants and parents, ensure children are picked up, and promote other YMCA programs through referrals. Ensure compliance with all policies and standard operating procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years of advanced experience in specialized skill
- Minimum of 4 years teaching specialized skill
- Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area
- Demonstrate advance knowledge of specialized skill
- Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
- Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
- Ability to plan, lead, and participate in classes and activities
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting
