Job Summary
Hands-on Technical Team Lead in Broadcom's Payment Security Division leading high-throughput AI/ML fraud-detection infrastructure. A pure player-coach role requiring active contribution to engineering, architecture, and automation across network, database, and containerized layers (Kubernetes, VMware). You will mentor a multidisciplinary team, drive automation via IaC/CI/CD, oversee on-call 24/7 production support, influence next-gen SaaS/PaaS/IaaS architectures, and ensure security and global financial compliance. The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, architectural leadership, incident response, and collaboration with teams spanning database, network, and virtualization domains.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
- 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, systems architecture, or DevOps/SRE roles
- Proven experience balancing hands-on technical contributions with team leadership/mentorship
- Experience designing and implementing automation spanning network, database, and system architecture layers
- Experience managing/infrastructure that supports AI/ML applications or real-time data pipelines
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
- Strong background in mission-critical SaaS/FinTech or highly regulated cloud environments
- Deep fluency in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, automations/CI, and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with VMware environments, networking, databases administration and performance tuning
- Ability to translate technical realities into business impacts
- Passion for automation and proactive infrastructure health
