Job Summary
Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Instructor II position in Springfield, VA, responsible for leading instructor-led training in countermeasures topics (TSCM, countersurveillance, counterintelligence, cyber, TEMPEST, industrial espionage) to security professionals. Responsibilities include teaching 20+ days of course materials, completing instructor qualification training, delivering hands-on training with exams and labs, preparing classrooms and labs, and ensuring training records and materials are maintained. The role also covers curriculum development, collaborating on training materials, providing mentorship across teams, cross-training, and strong communication to explain technical concepts to varied audiences. Requires active Top Secret with SCI eligibility, an associates degree (or equivalent), 4+ years of countermeasures experience with listed equipment, and proven public speaking/instructional experience.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility Clearance Required
- Associate of Science or related degree (or equivalent technical training)
- 4+ years of countermeasures experience with TSCM equipment (e.g., basic electrical test and measurement, thermal imaging cameras, NLJD, x-ray, borescopes)
- Experience in public speaking, delivering briefings, or instructions
- Experience as an instructor is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with technical and non-technical staff
- Security Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
