Technical Supporter responsible for ensuring security of a Federal Bureau of Prisons Residential Reentry Center, supervising resident movement, conducting searches, verifying sign-in/out, monitoring behavior, administering drug screening, providing orientation to new residents, and coordinating transportation, while upholding public health and visitation policies with an emphasis on compassionate, de-escalation-focused interactions.

- Ability to tactfully confront issues of stigma of incarceration
- Ability to deescalate volatile situations
- Ability to work compassionately and empathetically with criminal population
- Main Function – Ensure security of the facility and the residents
- Oversees sign-in/sign-out procedures for residents approved for movement
- Contacts residents on authorized movement or home confinement to confirm whereabouts
- Walks through facility to check on residents and complete a count of residents
- Conducts random search of residents’ rooms and vehicles for contraband and cleanliness
- Checks in all visitors with compliance of visitation policy
- Conducts pat-down searches on residents
- Monitors and logs residents’ behavior during shifts
- Conducts random urinalyses to screen for drug or alcohol use
- Oversees residents’ medication properly stored
- Provides orientation and documentation for new residents
- Housekeeping supervision and facility upkeep
- Transportation of residents for work, school, medical appointments
