Job Summary
Technical Support Specialist responsible for providing support and maintenance of personal computer systems and peripherals for Saginaw ISD and partnering locations. Responsibilities include hardware and software maintenance of PCs and peripherals (printers, scanners, projectors, interactive devices, telephony devices, Chrome OS devices, tablets, etc.), device and user management, image development and deployment, and desktop security software management. Travel to all contracted service locations on a regular basis; maintain a daily help desk log; contribute to a collaborative, customer-focused team environment; greet customers professionally; and perform related duties as assigned. Requires effective communication with diverse groups, ability to work independently and in teams, and strict confidentiality. Willingness to lift as necessary and pass a drug screen final step in the employment process.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 60 hours of college courses in technology or equivalent
- Associate's Degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience installing and maintaining networked computer systems
- Experience with Windows 10/11, Google Chrome OS, and Apple iPad OS platforms
- Experience working in or with K-12 educational institutions preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups and individuals with varying levels of technology skills
- Ability to work in a team-based environment with collaborative decision-making
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and work independently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Ability to lift as necessary
- Drug screen required as a final step in employment process
