Job Summary
Diagnose and repair assigned product lines by partnering with field service teams to restore equipment uptime. Develop sophisticated troubleshooting methods and build work instructions for service engineers covering tools, spares, and diagnostic procedures. Collaborate with NPD, Applications, and OE to integrate service requirements into technology roadmaps and drive improvements in mean time to repair and mean time between failures. Analyze equipment downtime to initiate quality improvement projects and validate troubleshooting documentation. Provide primary input for developing diagnostic software and test procedures while managing 20-40% travel time.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent military training
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics, Electronics, or Electro-Mechatics
- 2+ years' experience with service and/or manufacturing in high-tech industry or laboratory
- Comfortable in working with analytical equipment
- All-around technical knowledge and practical skills
- Multidisciplinary troubleshooting skills
- Experience with analytical equipment (electronics, software, physics, mechanics) such as Electron Microscopes, Wafer Steppers, Medical Equipment (e.g. MRI-scan), pharmaceutical equipment or related semiconductor equipment
- Preferably experience with LDB
- Strong technical writing skills
- Business proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Traveling (20% - 40% of working time)
- Must have a business proficiency in English (verbal and written)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics, Electronics, or Electro-Mechanics preferred
- Other language skills are an asset
