Job Summary
Technical Support Engineer at ABB/B&R responsible for development of concepts and application software for machine automation, support of customers with commissioning, system optimization, and technical support, and conducting training. The role includes sharing know-how with customers and colleagues and developing into a technical specialist to support sales and customers with knowledge. Requires experience with IEC 61131-3 (Structured Text), ANSI C, CNC, robotics, vision, IoT, and cyber security; fluent in French and English; willingness to travel within Switzerland. Hybrid work model in Switzerland (Biel or Frauenfeld).
Required Qualifications
- Technical vocational training and further education as an engineer FH / technician HF in electrical engineering, systems engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent
- Experience with common programming languages (IEC 61131-3 (structured text), ANSI C)
- Knowledge in CNC, robotics, vision, IoT, and cyber security
- Fluent French and English
- Willingness to travel within Switzerland
