Job Summary
Technical Support Analyst Intern will assist with successful DCIM software implementations by creating hardware models, data center drawings, and migrating data from existing to new customer databases. Responsible for improving customer success documentation, troubleshooting software bugs, handling tickets via a ticketing system, configuring Sunbird’s dcTrack and Power IQ, researching technical specs for IT and data center equipment, performing data scrubbing and migration, and supporting software testing with engineering. Duties include updating customer-facing documentation, participating in client/partner training, editing AutoCAD and Visio drawings, conducting data center surveys, and contributing to ongoing knowledge of Sunbird’s software suite. Requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, 1 year of tech-support experience, strong customer-facing skills, and familiarity with hardware, Windows 7/10, Excel, and related tools; willingness to travel up to 10% and work in a remote-capable role.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
- One year experience providing customer support for a technical environment
- Excellent customer-facing project management, analysis, troubleshooting, and technical skills
- Demonstrated basic technical knowledge of computer hardware (rack servers, PDUs, and cabling), Windows 7/10, MS Excel xls/csv file creation
