Required Qualifications
- 6-9 years of experience in Group Insurance
- college diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Statistics or Actuarial Science
- certification in GBA (Group Benefits Associate), CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist), ACS (Associate, Customer Service) or HIAA (Health Insurance Association of America)
- leadership and coaching experience – training or leading others with a focus on teamwork & professionalism
- ability to develop creative solutions to unique issues & opportunities
- expert knowledge of Underwriting policies, principles and practices
- thorough understanding of how changes to Canadian industries/economy/occupations/provincial health plans/drug coverage/government regulations impact private insurance plans
- background check as a condition of employment
