Job Summary
Author solution architecture and specifications in collaboration with Development teams while championing Propellerhead's technical strategy as a key business differentiator. Lead the evolution of the codebase from C# to Rust, directing an AI-assisted delivery pipeline for requirements, testing, and code generation. Build trusted relationships with key client decision-makers by explaining solution design and facilitating technical prerequisites for delivery. Develop strategies ensuring quality measures including speed-to-value, security, reliability, and maintainability align with client platform insights. Represent Propellerhead to senior stakeholders and work with the Chief Technologist to apply standards and patterns across distributed applications.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience with the development of multi-tier and distributed applications
- Agentic-first: very comfortable using AI to rapidly prototype, shape solutions, and direct an AI-assisted delivery pipeline across requirements, testing and code generation
- A confident, credible communicator and presenter in front of senior client stakeholders
- Previous experience with React user interfaces
- Previous experience with C# services
- Confidence in working with a variety of programming languages (Typescript, Java, Go, Rust)
- Strong communication skills with tangible examples to bridge technical solutions with business needs
- Hands-on experience with designing solutions on Azure
- Active participation in building CI/CD pipelines
- Instrumenting for operations
- Proven experience in leading the design of complex software applications, preferably for corporate enterprise
- Experience or demonstrable interest in digital identity
- Experience or demonstrable interest in verifiable credentials
- Experience or demonstrable interest in open banking
- Experience or demonstrable interest in AI agent authorization
- Experience or demonstrable interest in edge or device-based software deployment
- Must be based in Auckland
- Regular in-person office attendance
- Professional, confident presence
- Ability to communicate and influence with clarity
